Experts in the fields of greenfield real estate, industrial design and greenfield engineering are being tapped to fill a number of key positions at the new national capital region (NCR) Industrial Development Corporation (IDC).
The IDC will be the main body tasked with creating the NCR Industrial Development Strategy in the near future.
The initiative will be launched by the Union government in the next few days.
“In the current climate, I am optimistic that the initiative can generate employment for the new generation of professionals,” said Jairam Ramesh, CEO, National Centre for Industrial Design (NCID), which is a joint venture of NCCI-Mumbai and the IDC.
The new jobs will be available for graduates of NCCCI-MC in the private sector.
They will have the opportunity to learn from experts in the sector, which include consultants, architects, engineers and architects from the private and public sectors.
The IDCC will also be setting up an in-house technology and innovation centre to facilitate training of its graduates.
“The training programme will include online and offline sessions for all levels of training.
The centres will be equipped with computer labs, labs for in-depth analysis of the data, data management, analysis tools and training modules,” the NCCC said.
The NCCC is expected to announce its plans for the NCRs Industrial Development strategy by the end of the year.
It plans to set up a digital-savvy centre, which will be in partnership with the IDCT.
